Oonga shows itself to be The Book of the Film. The young adult novel is an adaptation of Makhija’s 2013 film of the same name, which never got a commercial release.

A leading actor in the new film Cousins says the screenplay highlights the cruel treatment inflicted on wāhine Māori in the 1940s and 1950s.
Hariata Moriarty plays the young-adult version of the character Missy in the film and says it was a great experience working on the film. And although some of the subject matter was challenging, it gave her a sense of empowerment as a young Māori woman. He mahi mīharo, he mahi ngāhau. Ahakoa ka peka pouri wētahi wā taumaha, he mahi ngāhau.

JAMMU, Feb 23: Suman Kesar Production (SKP) here today in association with Maci Films and Tera Mera Music released short film âKaali Subahâ.
Vikram Malhotra, general secretary Jammu Kashmir Apni Party was chief guest on this occasion while Arun Sharma, Sunny Kings Spa, Sayam Pandoh Famous You Tuber, Kuldeep Hans Comedian, Vikram Sharma were the guests of honour.
The film has been directed by Mann and Amay in association with Tera Mera Music. The conceptual design and production part was taken care of by producer Suman Kesarâowner of Suman Kesar Production while the story script and dialogues were written by Vikram Sharma.

“Write what you know” may be the number one piece of advice writers receive when launching into their first project, but when I did just that, I quickly realized I didn’t know squat. Turns out, “what I know” wasn’t cinematic at all; it was self-indulgent.
I had a passion for cinema and film since I was a dot. So said Castlemagner man Will Collins, whose most recent screenplay is for Wolfwalkers , a film which has just been nominated for a coveted Golden Globe in the Best Animated Movie category.
It s not the first such recognition for a movie for which he has written the screenplay.
His previous film, Song of the Sea , was nominated for an Academy Award.
And the son of Willie and Peggie Collins and brother to John and Pádraig is now working on the script for a new animated movie, an adaptation of a graphic novel by Ryan Andrews, This Was Our Pact, a film which is to be directed by Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage (Tyrion in the fantasy series).
